Scrub clearing alongside the Red River on the northern boundary, where scarce bryophytes are becoming shaded, as well as to continuing to coppice gorse, remove pampas etc where we’ve worked before, closer to Gwithian.
Meet in the roadside lay-bys north of Gwithian village SW 587/416.
Gwithian Towans 1, 3, 8 and 10 Feb
The area around the boundary with Upton Towans is becoming increasingly scrubby, so we will focus on creating some wider pathways and expanding some grassy areas.
Meet in the two small car parks just off the sharp bend of the B3011 road between Upton and Gwithian – where it’s signed ‘Gwithian Towans and Sunset Surf’ SW 582/407.
15, 17, 22 and 24 Feb: Put these dates in your diaries, and I’ll let you know the details nearer the time, depending on our progress, plus whether we can help follow-up work with contractors. If I have to cancel a Tuesday outing we’ll try to go on the Wed, likewise we’ll swap Friday if Thursday gets cancelled. But hey, we may get a really dry two months….!
